The House System at AIS
For students the House System provides: A means to get to know other students throughout the school and to interact with peers across grades and levels.
As we are a new school we need to look for opportunities to share experiences accross grades.
To become an active member of another group of students within the school community. It will provide students with opportunities to show their strengths and skills that may not otherwise come to light.
Here you will find information from the different house competitions that run through the year
CURRENT HOUSE POINTS

| TYR | 286 |
Students
can receive House Points for:
- Maintaining our physical environment (being responsible for rubbish and making sure everything is tidy)
- For showing exemplary behavior in school, especially for younger students (walking, talking properly, being respectful, being engaged, being positive)
- For meeting a target set by a teacher – for eg Having the correct equipment for the entire week (only for students where this has been a challenge), for letting other students communicate, showing respect etc.
- For demonstrating skills related to the Learner Profile and Attitudes
As
an introduction students were shown videos and had discussions about
what the Learner Profile meant to them. They were then given a blank
flag which they needed to design around their chosen Learner Profile.
This collaboration acticity gave students the opportunity to delve
deeper into each Learner Profile while providing an excellent display
for students, parents and staff to get to know the IB terminology.
